365 days around the world of art

Welcome to Head for Art. Here you’ll find Art 2010, my 365-day project that started Jan 1. The premise is simple: every day this year I take one art work from DC’s National Gallery of Art and discuss it in an interesting and enlightening way. It’s my way of making my way in a brand new city and country (I moved here late last year from London), as well as an experiment of sorts: can art be relevant in a day-to-day way?

As well as Art 2010, Head for Art can take you a step further: On Tour! We’re up and running to exciting destinations. Whether it’s a weekend in Washington or weeks-on-end exploring somewhere further afield, we can piece together a bespoke trip that’s perfect for you. A Head for Art tour immerses you in the kind of authentic, on-site experience that’s vivid, entertaining and enlightening. Let us take the headache out of the logistics and put the Head for Art onto your shoulders.
